We take in beautiful imagery and stunning environments in our first episode of The Cinema Show. Author and researcher Richard Martin discusses the role of visual beauty in some of cinema’s greatest achievements. With a special focus on Jean-Luc Godard’s Le Mépris, we visit the Gulf of Naples with fashion designer Massimo Alba who is one of its best-known residents. And touching down in Hong Kong, photographer Michael Wolf recalls the influence of the city’s labyrinth of alleys on Wong Kar-wai’s classic, In the Mood for Love.
