SO/ Berlin Das Stue
Monocle
SO/ Berlin Das Stue is located on the genteel streets of the diplomat’s district in Berlin, set in a building constructed in 1930 as the Royal Danish Embassy. The term “Das Stue” itself translates to “living room” in Danish and expresses all of the easy warmth and grandeur of a drawing room dream. A Michelin-star restaurant, a spa, fitness centre, indoor pool and bar and lounge all service 78 well-groomed guest rooms – a dream you’ll never want to wake up from.

Created by the Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, the Bel Etage Suite sits at the centre of the SO/ Berlin Das Stue experience. Its vast windows overlook the zoo while a bar sits at the back – knock back a dry martini there while you enjoy the jazz on Fridays.

Within a year of opening, SO/ Berlin Das Stue’s restaurant Cinco had earned itself a Michelin star. Leading a team of 30 employees Paco Pérez serves up an avant-garde array of Mediterranean cuisine, regularly flying fresh seafood back with him from his native Spain.
