Monocle’s New York bureau chief Ed Stocker is fresh off the plane from Utah for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. He talks us through three documentaries that caught his eye: ‘Jim: The James Foley Story’, a look at the life of the photographer who was killed by Isis; ‘Life, Animated’ which explores how Disney characters enabled a child to communicate with his family; and ‘Nuts!’ the tale of the eccentric Dr John R Brinkley.
