‘Il Paradiso’ is an annual publication with each issue dedicated to a single country. Its focus is on the more unusual aspects of travel and the latest issue is all about Portugal. Monocle’s Fernando Augusto Pacheco spoke to the magazine’s publisher and editor in chief Andreas Wellnitz.

Regular listeners to Monocle 24 and readers of ‘Monocle’ magazine will know that we love dogs almost as much as print. So you can imagine how excited we were about ‘Dog’: a lifestyle magazine that, in its own words, explores ‘the presence and influence of dogs and their owners in society’.

But the majority of them have a decidedly Atlanticist bent, favouring perspectives from the US and the UK.
