Soeur and K-Way unveil chic capsule collection at Monocle Paris
Monocle hosted French label Soeur at our Paris outpost to celebrate the brand’s new capsule collection, released in collaboration with French outerwear marque K-Way. Guests packed out our terrace on Rue Bachaumont for drinks and mini-baguette canapés, plus a tarte-tatin treat in keeping with the French spirit of the evening. Soeur CEO Freya Jan was in attendance, sharing that it was the capital itself that had contributed to the brand’s success. “We’ve managed to get where we are by listening to our Parisian customers,” said Jan. “It’s all about meeting their high standards when it comes to quality and usability.”

On display was the Soeur x K-Way collection, which included the Pradel trench coat that has proved a hit for navigating rainy city living. “We want to collaborate with brands that have expertise with technical materials we don’t normally use in our collections,” said Capucine Chapus, Soeur’s communications-and-marketing manager, referring to K-Way’s reputation as premium makers of stylish yet functional outdoor wear such as windbreakers and packable nylon jackets. “K-Way’s incredible know-how makes it a perfect fit for what we’re looking for.”

Also available was Monocle’s Cycling Paris neighbourhood guide, a print edition inspired by the collection, featuring three cycling routes through the city from the Latin Quarter to Le Marais and western Paris. Each tour includes stops at spots favoured by the Soeur and Monocle teams – the leaflet is available to pick up on Rue Bachaumont or any Soeur shop in Paris if you happen to find yourself in town.
