The Culinary Grand Tour Market, Zürich, 6 October

An evening of conversation and cuisine

Presented by Switzerland Tourism and Monocle.

For one night only, Zürich’s Kaufleuten becomes a meeting place for Switzerland’s food culture. Presented by Switzerland Tourism and Monocle, this special evening invites guests to discover the country’s flavours through conversation and cuisine. Bringing together a curated selection of regional specialities, local producers, chefs, winemakers and artisans, it’s an opportunity to learn about – and taste – Switzerland’s vast culinary variety in one place.

The evening begins with conversation. Opening the event are Noah Bachofen and Nico Franzoni, who will share highlights from their journey exploring Switzerland’s regional food culture. Next up, a Monocle-curated panel discussion recorded for The Entrepreneurs programme turns to the ideas and individuals shaping contemporary Swiss gastronomy. Moderated by Tom Edwards and Chandra Kurt, the panel discussion will feature winemaker Anne-Claire Schott of Schott Weine, farmer and manager Georges Stähli from Stähli Produits Fermiers, president of GastroSuisse Beat Imhof, Appenzeller Alpenbitter’s CEO Pascal Löpfe and Silvio Germann, head chef managing director and co-owner of Freidorf’s Mammertsberg restaurant.

From there, the tasting experience brings to life the cuisine behind the conversation. Guests can move between market stands, meet Swiss producers and taste their way across the country’s regional dishes, drinks, cheeses and more. A ticket includes access to the full evening’s programme and tastings – a chance to experience Switzerland’s culinary diversity and the vibrant community of makers behind it. En Guete!
