06:30
Hike in the hills
Heritage

Rise early to enjoy a little heritagethemed morning exercise and beat the midday sun. Take the 15th-century Bodrum Castle in the historic town as your starting point. Hike through the hills to the ruins of Pedasa, an ancient city that was famed for its wine. If you prefer to start the day a little later, the fascinating Museum of Underwater Archaeology is inside the castle and opens at 08.30 in summer.

11:00
Relax at the marina
Retail

Yalıkavak Marina is the playground of Bodrum’s global jet set, who arrive on superyachts and gather at the most fashionable spots. Don elegant daywear and savour a nourishing brunch by the water’s edge. Afterwards, browse the designer boutiques for haute couture and jewellery by the likes of Chanel, Prada and Moncler.

13:00
Navigate the secluded coast
Martime

The jagged and verdant Bodrum Peninsula is lined with pristine coves only reachable by boat. Luckily, there are plenty of chartered boat captains waiting to take you on a bespoke voyage of discovery. The local crews know the very best hidden spots, ideal for diving into the crystal seas without another soul around. Peninsula boat tours are also the best way to soak up Bodrum’s sumptuous party atmosphere – many of the city’s best beach clubs have moorings, ideal when stopping for refreshments.

15:00
Toast a local vineyard
Viticulture

Turkish viticulture is booming and some of the country’s best bottles come from the vineyards around Bodrum, which has been a grapegrowing region for millennia. Today the area’s boutique wineries are reviving traditional varieties and fermentation methods. Karnas Vineyards was set up by two French wine experts and the estate is set in stunning surrounds. Take the tour, then sample the product with fine Aegean delicacies on the side.

19:30
Dine in starry surroundings
Cuisine

The Michelin Guide came to Bodrum in 2023, boosting the city’s reputation as a fine-dining destination. Kitchen is one of first spots in Bodrum to earn a Michelin star. Chef Osman Sezener creates a fusion of light Mediterranean flavours and heartier Anatolian fare. Only peckish? Opt for the juicy grilled prawns or Bodrum sea bream tartare with Adana caviar.
