Renault 5 Turbo 3E: An icon reborn
Renault has a proud history of making compact cars feel larger than life – and few models celebrate that skill like the Renault 5 Turbo.
First built in 1980 as a left-field performance special, the Renault 5 Turbo paired exaggerated proportions with a rally car edge to create an enduring icon. The new Renault 5 Turbo 3E picks up that thread for the EV era, shifting gears into a new category altogether: the collectible modern mini-supercar. The limited release will see only 1,980 individually numbered cars released worldwide. Further exclusivity can be added via configuration – the Turbo 3E is designed to be customised rather than off-the-shelf.

The array of colourways allows for a nod to nostalgic racing liveries or something more contemporary; trims swing from purposeful to playful, while the breadth of internal finishes makes each car personal. Under the bodywork, the performance backs up the theatre. A dual-motor electric powertrain delivers 555 hp, taking the Turbo 3E to 100 kph in under 3.5 seconds – with a 268 kph top speed on track.

With its state-of-the-art 800-volt architecture, a 70 kWh battery supports charging power of up to 330 kW, taking the car from 15 to 80 per cent in 15 minutes – innovative engineering that keeps the pace high on road or circuit.
