Herringbone twill jacket
Reflecting the vintage style associated with Post O’Alls, this ecru coverall is constructed with a band-free collar and a one-piece sleeve design. Notable details include three acorn-shaped patch pockets with a visible inner pocket stitching on the front. Made in Japan from a durable cotton herringbone fabric, this coverall is a staple for navigating seasonal transitions.
Considered the “wizard of workwear”, Takeshi Ofuchi has been meticulously constructing detailed garments under the label Post O’Alls since 1993. Ofuchi continues to draw inspiration from the distinct patterns and materials of American Machine Age workwear from the 1920s and 1930s to create a wardrobe of shirts and jackets with a vintage allure.
Pencil case
Made in collaboration with Japanese stationery specialist Delfonics from highly durable waterproof PVC, this pencil case is set to last. It is ideal for everyday use or on your travels and can carry up to 10 of your favourite writing instruments.
Scent Three: Sugi
Sugi – also known as Japanese cedar – is popular as an ornamental plant in Japan and has a delicate, clean and energising fragrance. After our collaborations with Comme des Garçons on Hinoki and Laurel we returned to them for this third scent. Developed in Paris by Antoine Maisondieu it comes in a Monocle-designed bottle and box. It is a refreshing scent that’s light but sophisticated, beginning with top notes of Mediterranean cypress and pepper from Madagascar, followed by iris from Florence and cedar from Virginia, and finished with pine and Haitian vetiver.

Pepper mill terracotta
Blending art and design into daily life, Sebastian Marbacher's pepper mill offers a modern reinterpretation of a timeless piece. Clean lines and a classic form highlight the tight-grain pattern and sleek finish of the natural wood body, while off-white and terracotta tones create a striking contrast that makes this mill a beautiful addition to any dining table.
Safari jacket
This navy number draws inspiration from a 1960s safari jacket, complete with removable sleeve liners, windproof outer material and a woolly collar for different seasons. The jacket is crafted from Egyptian Finx, a rare type of long-fibre cotton, which is woven to perfection in Hamamatsu and dyed in Kazo.
Candle holder
Light up any space with Oros's oak candle holder. Made in France, its sharp lines and contrasting curved foundation accentuate the wood's natural-grain pattern. The candle holder's broad base ensures stability while its minimalist design adds a touch of rustic charm to any interior.
Scent One: Hinoki
Produced for Monocle by Comme des Garçons’ perfumer, Antoine Maisondieu, the inspiration for Hinoki comes from a perfectly still, slightly chilly spring morning spent soaking in an indoor/outdoor tub at the Tawaraya in Kyoto. It pulls together our memory of the mosses and trees outdoors and the sharp notes of the boxy hinoki tub.

Welsh Lavender hand cream
Developed to nourish hard working hands, this hand cream is made with lavender oil distilled in the hills of mid-Wales. Journalist turned farmer and entrepreneur Nancy Durham collaborated with Monocle editor in chief Tyler Brûlé to design the packaging and branding.

Drehgriffel pen refill
From heritage stationary brand Leuchtturm 1917, this black-ink refill fits the Drehgriffel ballpoint pen. First designed in the 1920s, it features a geometric hexagonal barrel and a pleasing weightiness to keep the ink flowing and your writing crisp.
