Suede bluchers

These suede bluchers feature a Vibram sole and full-grain Tosca leather from Tuscany-based tannery Opera. Handcrafted in a factory in Italy’s Sibillini mountain range, each pair comes with an extra set of black leather laces and an exclusive Monocle x Yuketen collaboration logo on the insole. Avoid storing in direct sunlight to prevent colour fading.

Founded by Japanese designer Yuki Matsuda, Yuketen offers a stylish take on everyday footwear. Crafted from meticulously selected premium leather, the label’s boots, boat shoes and chukkas are all made by artisans.

Leather gloves

These gloves highlight Causse Gantier’s refined codes for both style and warmth. Made in France from lambskin leather with a smooth silk lining, they have a polished finish in both natural and dark brown colourways. Since its foundation in 1892, Causse Gantier has remained devoted to producing the highest-quality gloves, earning itself couturier status in the process. Following decades of collaboration with high fashion houses, the brand which is situated in the glove-making region of Millau and is still headed by the Causse family secured a place with Chanel’s Metiers d’Art. Every pair of gloves is hand-cut to precision and meticulously crafted using longstanding family techniques.

Leather luggage tag

Available in chocolate or cognac brown, this elegant tag from London-based luggage specialists Carl Friedrik is made in Portugal from Italian Vachetta leather that is vegetable-tanned with organic tannins from tree bark, leaves and roots in Tuscany. A removable address label is revealed on the underside of the tag and understated branding allows the buttery-smooth texture of the leather to stand out. Featuring a co-branded Monocle and Carl Friedrik label. 

Based just off London’s Piccadilly Circus, Carl Friedrik is a specialist label when it comes to high-quality leather goods and travel accessories. Founded in 2012 by Swedish brothers, Niklas and Mattis Oppermann, the brand is known for its minimalist designs and premium leather, such as Italian Vachetta for its briefcases, wallets and backpacks.

Monocle flat white brooch

Inspired by Monocle’s cafés in London, Paris and Zürich, this flat white brooch was developed exclusively for us by French embroidery brand Macon & Lesquoy and designed by co-founder Marie Macon. Handmade using the heritage embroidery technique of cannetille.

Kumihimo lanyard

A commuter essential, this lanyard from Japanese brand Cacta is a thoughtful approach to the demands of contemporary life. Rely on the traditional Japanese braid-making technique of Kumihimo to keep everyday basics close whilst adding a smart accessory to your outfit.

Taking its cue from the traditional Japanese braid-making craft of Kumihimo, Cacta has created a nifty accessory collection for carrying wallets, keys and more for the modern day so you can add a touch of artisanship passed down through generations to your everyday look. 

Medium takeaway cup

Choose this 250ml takeaway cup by Berlin-based Kaffeeform, complete with Monocle branding. Made from coffee grounds sourced from Berlin cafés and roasteries, this cup is shatterproof, light and free of petroleum-based plastics, BPA and melamine. Comes with two lids: one for on-the-go drinking and another fully sealable option. 

Berlin-based design studio Kaffeeform’s mission is in its name: turning coffee grounds into takeaway cups. Sourcing coffee waste from cafés and roasteries around the city, Kaffeeform’s products are long-lasting, pleasingly light and even carry a scent of roasted coffee.  

Tyrolean leather shoes

Handmade in Tokyo’s Asakusa district, these shoes from Japanese brand Tep_P offer a laid-back answer to the loafer. Working closely with Tep_P’s artisans, Monocle made a number of exclusive alterations, including the use of a rich chestnut colour for this suede option. The shoes also feature a lightweight Vibram sole and no extra interior linings for a more natural feel.

Operating out of a small workshop in Tokyo’s Asakusa district, Tep_P was founded by shoe designer Teppei Yoshimi to offer more relaxed footwear to step out in. Drawing on his experience as CEO of shoe brand Rendo, Yoshimi keeps things comfortable but sharp for the discerning customer.
