Slub-yarn T-shirt – white

Designed in house by the Monocle team, this T-shirt uses fabric knitted on old loopwheel machines in Japan’s Wakayama prefecture. Made in Tokyo using a slub cotton yarn, each shirt has a uniquely soft texture and is available in white, navy or taupe.

Pull-over crew

Monocle has put down roots in la République, opening a Paris office and releasing a new France handbook. Now, our shop’s customers can also buy a pullover crew from iconic Breton brand Le Minor. Made on the blustery Brittany coast near the town of Lorient, this 100 per cent virgin-wool sweater is a reliable companion when facing down the wind and rain. Wearers will join French navy officers in donning the French brand’s pieces for the winter – what could be a better endorsement?

Coach jacket

Knitwear brand Le Minor looked west across the Atlantic for inspiration when it was developing its take on the classic coach’s jacket. A riff on the US college sports staple, the brand’s French-made version features a thick Milano knit and comes in muted navy or grey colourways. But the slanted pockets, collar and snap buttons that characterise the iconic piece remain. Plus, Monocle has added an inner chest pocket for this exclusive collaboration.

T-shirt “Listen”

For lovers of our radio station. Made in Portugal with 100 per cent cotton, this thick fabric T-shirt has a relaxed fit and a call to arms for all listeners tuning in to Monocle’s live broadcasts and podcasts. Available in dark navy. 

Summer cotton shorts

Step into the warmer months with these laid-back shorts, designed in-house by Monocle. Woven from organic cotton, these shorts sit above the knee and cast a clean silhouette. An elasticated waistband and herringbone twill drawcord offer comfort, while a washed, textured finish lends a sense of relaxed refinement. Thoughtful details, such as the mix of welt and patch pockets, make these shorts well suited for casual outings.

Yeti T-shirt

Featuring a catchphrase from our editorial director Tyler Brûlé, this T-shirt is a collaboration between Seoul fashion brand Kappy Design and Monocle. Made in South Korea from pure cotton, the illustration from Japanese artist Toru Fukuda is exclusive to Monocle and hand-applied to each piece. Available in navy-and-yellow and stone-and-forest green colourways.

Merino-wool gloves

Take hold of the colder months with our merino-wool gloves. They are available in brick red or indigo and made in Portugal from pure, ultrafine merino wool for Monocle’s continental collection. Feel comfortable from top to toe with our matching beanie. 

Tweed tie

Selected by Monocle’s design team from Tokyo-based leather specialist Hender Scheme’s tie range, this dark brown piece is made of high-quality Bishu wool tweed and features a natural leather tab on the rear. Made in Japan.

Seersucker overshirt – navy

Designed in-house by Monocle’s team, this Portuguese-made overshirt is available in navy or blue stripes. Made with lightweight seersucker cotton fabric, it features an internal pocket and fits regular to roomy, always staying crisp in your suitcase when packed away. Light and breathable for coastal days or post-work aperitifs.
