Nigerian poet and author Ben Okri rose to prominence with his first book, ‘Flowers and Shadows’, published when we was just 21. He won the Man Booker Prize in 1991 with ‘The Famished Road’ and while his writing is hard to pin down it’s widely categorised as “modernism”. Geogina Godwin speaks to him about his latest book, ‘The Age of Magic’, and his extraordinary life as a writer.
