‘The Offbeat Sari’ with Priya Khanchandani

A major exhibition at London’s Design Museum celebrates the complex meanings weaved into the sari and explores what the garment tells us about contemporary India. The exhibition brings together designers and protest groups that have reinvented its image from one rooted in the domestic landscape to a symbol of dynamism and movement on the streets of India’s cities. The Design Museum’s head curator, Priya Khanchandani, joins us in the studio.
