‘À Table’, Serpentine Pavilion 2023

Open until the end of October, the Serpentine Gallery’s annual pavilion, in London’s Hyde Park, is now welcoming visitors. This year’s structure, ‘À table’, is designed by French-Lebanese architect, Lina Ghotmeh.

We meet Guillaume Credoz, head of the digital fabrication and research lab, in Beirut. Using a range of production methods including 3D printing, the lab makes objects that vary in scale, from chairs to large outdoor structures.

The Icelandic designer shares why her recent practice has evolved to explore the use of hyperlocal materials. Her latest collection of homeware, Gentle Glow, is partly made from wool and oat straw, sourced from the back garden of her rural studio.
