New Caledonia latest: Australia and New Zealand begin evacuations
The Pacific territory of New Caledonia is facing some of the worst violence in more than 30 years as a result of a French decision to update its voter laws. The violence has now prompted Australia and New Zealand to evacuate their citizens as Paris sends additional troops to calm the situation.
