New Zealand ups its tourist tax
New Zealand will almost triple its tourist tax for international tourists from NZ$35 to NZ$100. The move is aimed at ensuring visitors contribute to public services while in the country. Visitors from neighbouring Australia and most Pacific nations are exempt from the levy.
