Vatican fires its ‘Romeo and Juliet’
An office romance is not an unusual thing; except when you work at the Vatican. Domenico Fabiani and Siivia Carlucci are – or rather were – employees of the Institute of Religious Works, commonly referred to as the Vatican Bank. The couple were fired after a new bank regulation went into effect barring workplace marriages. Journalist and former Vatican correspondent Juliet Linley updates Emma Nelson.
