Romania's president resigns amid far-right pressure
Romania’s president, Klaus Iohannis, has announced that he will step down tomorrow. He had already overstayed his term, having remained as a placeholder following the annulment of 2024’s presidential election by Romania’s top court as a result of widely reported Russian meddling. Bucharest-based journalist Alison Mutler, manager of the news site Universul.net, joins the programme with the latest.
