Jay Ruskey is the founder of Frinj Coffee, a company he started on his family’s Santa Barbara farm with the aim of helping to make California the next speciality coffee growing hotbed. In 2002 the farmer and agronomist planted a trial crop of coffee in hope of proving that coffee could thrive in warm, tropical climates. To date he’s helped to grow more than 3,000 mature coffee trees.
