Paris’s Olympic infrastructure

With less than 200 days until the Paris 2024 Olympics begin, only 84 per cent of the necessary construction has been completed. The French capital anchored its bid in the idea of redeveloping existing venues instead of building new structures to reduce the carbon footprint and prevent white-elephant legacy issues. Organisers are now working flat out to finish venues that are behind schedule. Meanwhile, the city’s police officers have been protesting over labour conditions and pay during the Games.
