Russia’s attempt to redraw Baltic maritime borders
The Kremlin has unilaterally moved to change the maritime border with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea, according to a decree published on the Russian government’s website. Vladimir Putin intends to declare part of the waters in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland in the Kaliningrad region to be its internal waters. Lithuania’s foreign ministry has called the move a provocation. How will Nato respond?
