Japan more than doubles its budget for military aid

Japan has announced that it will more than double the budget of its military aid programme, which will rise from 2bn yen last year to 5bn yen (€32m). Authorities have also confirmed that the next beneficiaries of Japan’s official security assistance framework are likely to be the Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia and Djibouti.
