When brothers Nevio and Fabiano Mattiazzi founded their first workshop in 1979 on Italy’s northeastern border, their aim was simple: to produce top-quality wooden chairs. Decades later, their business continues to flourish, with furniture collections released with world-class creatives including Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Julie Richoz. Mattiazzi first caught the eye of Monocle’s design editor, Nic Monisse, for its innovative, hands-on approach.
