Merz B Schwanen X monocle

Originally founded in 1911, German clothing manufacturer Merz B Schwanen once produced Henley shirts and base layers for workers on a loopwheeler, an analogue circular warping machine. But as the country’s textile industry declined, loopwheelers fell out of fashion. That is until Berlin-based designers Gitta and Peter Plotnicki made it their mission to bring back the technology’s tried-and-tested techniques and understated style.
