Konfekt is a sharp, elegant and well-turned-out new magazine from the creators of Monocle. Edited between Zürich and London, and printed in Germany, it is a sumptuous quarterly publication covering fashion, drinking and dining, travel, design and culture in both English and German. This issue is an ode to the summer road trip; we visit the French cowboys of the Camargue (and meet the artisans crafting their distinctive apparel) and hit the road with Slovakian fashion designer Kristína Šipulová. We’ll pull up a chair (and pour a glass of soave) for a long, searching lunch with a circle of formidable designers at the Venice Architecture Biennale and sit down for a long meal in the Turkish town of Izmir cooking and preserving their Sephardic Jewish recipes.
