Lamparaprima lamp
On an afternoon in 1979, designer Pete Sans was bending a wire coathanger after moving houses when an idea struck him. The resulting Lamparaprima is simple both in its ingenuity and functionality – constructed with a stainless steel rod, a thin metal shade and a tubular light source – ensuring mobility and versatility in the home. It was Sans’s first commercial lamp and only the second product edited by Santa & Cole. For the Monocle edition, the Spanish brand created a more graphic and unified design, finishing the structural elements in black except for the off-white orientable metal shade. Its discreet palate, not to mention the Monocle logo, gives this lamp a presence that is as soft as it is generous.
