Made by the brand Maison Douillet, which usually only collaborates with local French manufacturers and artisans, this Alpine vest has been adapted exclusively for Monocle customers. Spot the additional inner pocket, along with natural horn-tip buttons from a Jura artisan and a co-branded interior label. The material is worthy of note too: the vest is made from merino virgin wool that was woven in Austria, along with an organic cotton-poplin lining.
Founded in the French Alps by brothers Clément and Germain Douillet, this brand specialises in contemporary Alpine and rural workwear pieces. Emphasis is placed on the provenance of each garment – the Douillets make a point of only working with local manufacturers and artisans.
