Hotels

Hotel Principe di Savoia, Porta Nuova
An unashamedly bygone-era hotel that never disappoints in terms of comfort or service. Near Milano Centrale railway station, the hotel is ideally located should you wish to visit other parts of the country by train. Housed in a 1927 neoclassical block, rooms to reference everything from art deco motifs to 19th-century opulence. We’re particularly fond of the deluxe terrace room.

Milan Four Seasons, Quadrilatero della Moda
Ever reliable, this central Milan Four Seasons is housed in a former 15th-century convent with a beautiful inner courtyard. Given its location near Monte Napoleone, expect a fashion-savvy crowd. Check out the stunning Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, a former noble residence located next door, while you’re there.

Portrait, Quadrilatero della Moda
This building on the site of a former 16th-century seminary was off limits to the public for years. It has now been given a careful restoration by architect Michele de Lucchi and his AMDL Circle studio. It has some extremely spacious suites and is a popular spot for meetings, weekend lunches and evening drinks.
