La Grande Epicerie, 7th arrondissement
This landmark gourmet emporium is located in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, within LVMH’s Le Bon Marché. Showcasing fine French produce, it expanded beyond its historic Rue de Sèvres location in 2017 by opening a second shop in Passy.

Monocle, Montorgueil
Monocle’s Paris shop, at the back of the café, sells products catering to our reader’s tastes including a vibrant range of design-focused lifestyle products, collaborations with brands we love and our own label collection. Landline, 11th arrondissement
This independent shop used to be a neglected neighbourhood pharmacy before Caroline Morrison revamped it in 2020. A modern take on the general store, it sells everything from stationery and cookware to vintage-inspired toys made by the best European artisans.
JM Weston, 8th arrondissement
In 1891, JM Weston was born in Limousin. Inspired by the sturdy Goodyear-stitching techniques used in the American town of Weston, near Boston, the brand’s Paris flagship can be found on the Champs-Élysées. Try on a pair of its bestselling shoe since 1946: the 180 Loafer.

Bonjour Jacob, 10th arrondissement
This café, magazine and record shop near Canal Saint-Martin was founded in 2021 by Hani Belahcene and Aurelia Galopin. It offers European coffee blends, pastries from nearby Boulangerie Sain and vinyl records reflecting the owners’ many creative passions.

Charvet, 1st arrondissement
Founded in 1838 and counting such luminaries as Winston Churchill and Ernest Hemingway among its clients, Charvet provides Paris with unique made-to-measure shirts. Clients come to have their measurements taken and choose from more than 5,000 fabrics, which are displayed like books in a library.

De Bonne Facture, 11th arrondissement
Paris-based designer Déborah Neuberg founded De Bonne Facture to collaborate with French artisans and preserve their craftsmanship skills. From Shetland-wool jumpers to embroidered shirts and workwear jackets, her menswear style blends classicism with effortless dressing using natural textiles.

L/Uniform, Saint-Germain-des-Prés
L/Uniform founder Jeanne Signoles was inspired by the usability of workwear coupled with craft expertise from Goyard, one of France’s oldest trunk makers, to make customizable luggage and travel accessories. It’s proof that practical can also be beautiful.
Charlotte Chesnais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Set up in 2015 by jeweller Charlotte Chesnais, this namesake label offers swirling, ethereal trinkets at a Rive Gauche boutique designed by Chesnais in collaboration with Dutch architect Anne Holtrop. If you’re on the other side of the Seine, swing by Chesnais’ second Paris boutique on the Rive Droite.
Bogopresse, 7th arrondissement
Brothers Nicolas and Médéric Bogo are the fourth generation in charge of this kiosk with an unrivalled selection of French and international titles. Among their shelves are niche titles such as L’Étiquette Femme and Le Magazine Dubo, as well as more traditional staples such as Paris Match, Le Monde and Le Figaro.
Les puces de Saint Ouen, Clignancourt
The Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen was founded in 1885. With more than 2,000 stalls to explore on weekends and Mondays, this flea market is a treasure trove of furniture, precious jewellery and second-hand clothing.
