Monocle is an independent media brand that has built a global reputation for its coverage of international affairs, design, travel, fashion and much more besides. Launched in London in 2007, the business has blossomed to include our famed magazine, daily newsletters, a round-the-clock radio station, international events as well as thriving retail stores, e-commerce and cafés. With HQs, bureaux and shops in Zürich, Tokyo, Merano and Hong Kong we are a truly global team and proud of the fact that today Monocle is a vital source of inspiration, analysis and ideas for our discerning global audience.
About the role
The creative team is at the heart of the development and production of our flagship publication, Monocle, and our sister magazine, Konfekt, as well as material for our global events, retail business and cafés.
Our designers work on a vast array of interesting, challenging and unique multimedia projects, across editorial and commercial work. This is a great opportunity to learn from, and work alongside, industry heavyweights.
We are growing the team with two opportunities available.
-A junior designer who is hungry to learn. This is perfect for a graduate with up to two years’ experience.
-An established designer armed with a compelling portfolio and a passion for print, publishing and all things design.
The successful candidates will demonstrate:
-Hands-on experience using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
-An aspiration to be part of a dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the exceptional quality of work it creates.
-Collaborative team players who can work to briefs within tight timeframes.
-The flexibility to work across both editorial and commercial projects.
