Chapter 1

Meet acclaimed artist Es Devlin

We turn to a new exhibition by British artist and stage designer Es Devlin called ‘Face to Face: 50 Encounters with Strangers’. Over a period of four months, 50 strangers went to Devlin’s South London studio – with her not knowing anything about them other than their first name and that at some point they sought refuge in London. The result is a stunning collection of chalk and charcoal portraits. We met her at the exhibition in Somerset House.

High jewellery at Bonhams New Bond Street

The Winter issue of ‘Konfekt’ magazine includes our high-jewellery special, so it’s only fitting that we convened an elegant crowd at historic auctioneers Bonhams, in London’s New Bond Street, for a special evening devoted to all things that sparkle. Kate Flitcroft is the co-head of department UK for jewellery at Bonhams New Bond Street, we spoke about her work and the eternal power of jewels.

Justine Picardie on ‘Dior in Scotland’

A new exclusive documentary titled ‘Dior in Scotland’ takes a peek behind the scenes of Dior’s 2025 cruise show, which took place at the sumptuous Drummond Castle Gardens earlier this year. The film follows the journey of Dior’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, through Scotland as she meets with makers and explores the region’s textile heritage to put together the collection. We speak with British fashion writer Justine Picardie about the savoir-faire behind this stunning collection and its poetic homage to Scotland.
