During the lockdowns, thousands of restaurants around the world launched their own meal kits that allowed customers to finish the dishes at home and enjoy quality food at home. But what is the future for these boxes now that restaurants have opened their doors again? Are they just an unnecessary distraction for restaurants or something that will help them to win over new customers?

Borne out of the restaurant industry’s pandemic-induced struggles, London based Decatur’s New Orleans-style prawn boil and chargrilled oyster meal kits have proven hugely popular over the past year, showing the extent to which innovative ideas can thrive in delivery format.
