US musician David Pajo’s work has ranged from challenging and genre-defining bands such as Slint to pop’s big hitters such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Interpol. ‘Highway Songs’ is his first recorded under the alias Papa M for 12 years and follows a period of dramatic upheaval for the songwriter. He joins Monocle’s Tom Hall to talk through his many different sounds and inspirations.

Clara and Adrian form design duo Special Projects. They’ve caught the design world’s attention with 'Missing Pages' – three tongue-in-cheek manuals designed in the style of flat-pack furniture, which aim to remind people how to take care of each other. They discuss how to put fun and a sense of magic back into good design.
