Your favourite independent magazines are compiled through hours of solitary and near-solitary toil by industry fanatics hunched over InDesign, stuck in what can sometimes feel like a state of purgatory. No wonder this (usually) invisible army jumps at the chance to get outside and share ideas with like-minded print fans. This week we report from one of the most anticipated print events of the year: the fifth annual Modern Magazine conference.
