Saudi Arabia’s Sports Boulevard
Riyadh’s Sports Boulevard is envisioned as the world’s largest landscape-led project, which would create once-in-a-generation urban infrastructure in the city. Stretching some 135km, the project holds design at its core thanks to Coen+Partners, a US-based landscape architecture firm. We meet partner Robin Ganser to hear more about the project.

Stadiums as catalysts for urban change
Stadiums and sports arenas are more than mere stages for sport: they bring the community together, and at their best, can drive meaningful urban renewal. This has been at the heart of the work by architecture firm HOK, which has worked on everything from Stockholm’s Avicii Arena, to the revamp of Manchester’ AO Arena. We meet HOK’s sports and entertainment director John Rhodes to hear how sports venues are being rethought to serve not just fans, but entire neighbourhoods too.
