Our version of this versatile Japanese staple item – a lightweight oblong of woven cotton – is designed by Monocle’s in-house team and made in Japan. Traditionally Tenugui were used around the house and now are more often used as decorative accessories. Drape it around your neck as a scarf or over your computer screen for a tasteful way to keep dust out of the machine. It can even be used as gift wrap to elevate the presentation of a book or bottle of wine.
