Ace Hotel, Fashion District
Housed in a handsome burgundy-brick tower designed by Canadian studio Shim-Sutcliffe, the Ace’s first Canadian outpost opened in 2022. The rooms are large and their deep-set window seats offer a picturesque vantage point on the city. Its restaurant, Alder, offers excellent wood-fired fare and its events, parties and rooftop bar are all well attended. The Ace is an elevated fixture in the city’s nightlife.

Four Seasons, Yorkville
The Four Seasons began in Toronto when the group, which is still headquartered in the city, opened its first hotel here in 1961. Its current location in the upscale Yorkville neighbourhood was built in 2012 and boasts 259 rooms and 42 suites, each of which were thoughtfully redesigned and refurbished by Toronto’s Designagency in 2024.

The Drake Hotel, West Queen West
The Drake Hotel, which opened in Toronto’s West End in 2004, is credited with spurring the transformation of West Queen West into the lively district of restaurants, drinks spots and independent retailers that it is today. A handsome extension to the original hotel, built in 1890, opened in 2021. Its comfortable rooms are adorned with work from The Drake’s own, well-regarded collection of new Canadian art.
