Robert Bound presents Monocle on Culture every week, showcasing the best in art, music, film, books and media. Bound has been writing about culture for Monocle since its launch and, as its senior correspondent, can often be found reporting across the globe, more often than not from sunnier climes. He previously worked in television production and development for ITV and Channel 4.

The Globalist with Emma Nelson

Emma Nelson is a London-based presenter and reporter. Her television work includes time at BBC World News, where she was a correspondent, BBC National News and BBC London. Nelson and Monocle chanced upon each other when she lived next door to Midori House and wandered round to offer the broadcasting equivalent of a cup of sugar.

Tom Edwards is head of radio at Monocle. Before making the move into broadcasting, Edwards worked at The Independent newspaper in London. You can hear him present The Bulletin with UBS and The Briefing, as well as regular outside broadcasts when Monocle Radio takes its shows on the road.

Georgina Godwin is books editor for Monocle Radio and a regular host of Meet the Writers, Monocle Reads, The Globalist and Monocle on Saturday. Elsewhere, Godwin chairs literary events worldwide and hosts a number of commercial podcasts. Originally from Zimbabwe, she was a founding member of the country’s first independent radio station before being declared an enemy of the state and exiled to London. She is currently on the board of the charity English PEN and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

Rimella has been a Monocle contributor for the past 10 years but her appetite for great restaurants, bars and produce is what led her to host ‘The Menu’ on Monocle Radio – a weekly 30-minute programme featuring the best food, drink and hospitality from around the world. Originally from Turin in northern Italy, she’s just as happy commenting on her home country’s politics as its cuisine.

Carlota Rebelo is Monocle’s senior foreign correspondent. She works across Monocle Radio’s daily news programmes and our flagship cities programme The Urbanist, on which she regularly speaks to mayors, planners and citizens who are pioneering change. Previously she was Monocle’s bureau chief in Los Angeles, keeping a sharp focus on US politics. Originally from Madeira Island, Portugal, her previous stints include the European Parliament and BBC World Service.
