‘A Brief History of Seven Killings’ by Marlon James
Matt Alagiah speaks to Sharmaine Lovegrove about Marlon James’s violent depiction of Jamaica in the 1970s and 1980s, through a fictionalised attempted assassination of reggae star Bob Marley. Marlon James is the first Jamaican to be nominated for the Man Booker Prize.
