Fundación Casa de Alba  X Monocle

Madrid’s best-in-class events venue

Steeped in history and surrounded by leafy gardens, the peerlessly beautiful Liria Palace sits close to the centre of Madrid. The neoclassical gem is home to a private collection of art from El Greco, Goya, Rembrandt, Rubens and more, all supported by Fundación Casa de Alba. Built in 1770 for the Dukes of Alba by architect Ventura Rodríguez, the space is also the Spanish capital’s – and perhaps Europe’s – best venue for must-impress events (Monocle’s 2019 Quality of Life Conference took place here). Here are a few of the many reasons to host your next corporate event right here.

Light, airy venue for first-class events.

1. To impress
The breathtaking approach and grandeur of this palatial venue will wow even the most discerning of clients, friends, family and other attendees.

2. To meet
Images and emails are fleeting; meaningful interactions come from shared experiences in places that create new connections and spark fresh conversations.

3. To conserve for the future
Fundación Casa de Alba’s mission is to protect the palace and share its stately facilities with guests.

4. To be inspired
Liria Palace’s book collection includes a first-edition copy of Don Quixote, plus letters from Christopher Columbus and Rousseau. The works of plenty of the world’s finest thinkers are here.

5. To draw breath
Take time away from the busy city in the shade of the tall trees in the magnificently manicured grounds.

Raising a glass to new connections.
