About the role In preparation for our opening in early 2025, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Cafe Supervisor who is excited to be part of our new establishment.
The Monocle Café is an intimate and bustling space located on Rue Bachaumont. Offering artisanal coffee and tasty treats, it’s a welcoming space that showcases our passion for hospitality.
The Cafe Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day running of the café, overseeing both the kitchen team and front-of-house teams. You will deputise for the café manager and be responsible for all aspects of managing the financial and operational elements of the business in their absence.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate:
-Exceptional barista skills and confidence in delivering quality in every single cup
-The ability to train and develop others
-At least two years’ experience of supervising a small, cohesive team and delivering an exceptional and unique customer experience within an independent environment
-An interest in the Monocle brand, with a genuine passion for interests relevant to Monocle, especially in relation to media, fashion, design, travel and culture.
