—Margaret Mead Film Festival
This weekend the American Museum of Natural History is set to host the 36th annual Margaret Mead International Film Festival featuring more than 20 films from around the world. Named for the famed American anthropologist, the festival presents a broad range drawing on themes as disparate as indigenous community media to experimental documentaries. We’re particularly excited to see Marcelo Machado’s Tropicália which looks at the culture of 1960s Brazil with rare archival footage of Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso.

3. SHOP: LONDON
—Stutterheim Raincoats Pop-up Shop
This weekend, stop by Stutterheim’s recently opened pop-up shop at London’s Redchurch Street. Founded in 2010 by then copywriter Alexander Stutterheim the label offers functional Swedish outwear with a clean modern silhouette. Each coat is hand-stitched and comes in a small run for both men and women. Our favorite is the Arholma Svart, based on the traditional raincoat worn by generations of Swedish fishermen and made of rubberised cotton. Close joint second goes to the Arvid and the Lydia coats made of waxed cotton fabric.
30A Redchurch Street. Open daily 12.00-19.00. Until 31 December
