-In-Edit Film Festival
In-Edit is a new film festival focused on music documentaries. Don’t miss out on Paul Kalkbrenner 2010: A Live Documentary, following the Berlin electro DJ as he rides the wave of fame following his star appearance in the popular 2008 film, Berlin Calling. Also, in a year full of films about beat poets, be sure to catch the William Burroughs biopic, Burroughs – A Man Within.

02 Exhibition: Seattle
-Joe Biel: New Work
One of our favourite pencil-drawing artists, Joe Biel makes a return to painting with this show of 12 watercolours, showing a series of primates in peculiar settings – listening to the radio, cuddling, or wistfully reading letters. The artist will give a guided tour of the show at noon this Saturday.

03 Exhibition: Paris
-Vodun: African Voodoo
A decade after his death, this show displays Jack Kerchache’s collection of West African Voodoo art. Having worked as cultural adviser to the then French president Jacques Chirac, Kerchache’s collection of primitive art remains one of the world’s most important and this show, designed by Enzo Mari, displays some of the sculptures in all their creepy, complex and captivating glory.

04 Exhibition: Copenhagen
-Danish Design: I Like It!
As of this weekend the Danish Museum of Art and Design will be known simply as the Design Museum Denmark. To celebrate, Jasper Morrison has curated an exhibition of handpicked designs from the museum’s extensive archives. “Danish Design – I like it!” charts the products that have most inspired Morrison’s own work.

05 Festival: London
-London Coffee Festival
With enough beans and blends to satisfy the most hardened of caffeine junkies, the London Coffee Festival offers the perfect pick me up for Londoners this weekend. A showcase for artisan roasters including Matthew Algie and Union Hand-Roasted, more than 50 of the industry’s top names will descend on East London. As well as enjoying an espresso or eight, guests can see live roasting demonstrations and attend talks on everything from brewing techniques to ethical producers.
