The US cautions Israel as fighting resumes in Gaza
After a seven-day pause to allow for the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, war has resumed in Gaza. Qatar has confirmed that talks are ongoing between Israel and Hamas but the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry says that 32 people have been killed in Gaza today. During another visit to Israel, the US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken, has told his hosts that they must account for the safety of Palestinian civilians.
