With ordinary life put on hold by the war, artistic endeavours have become almost impossible for many in Ukraine. In part three of our series, Monocle’s Sophie Monaghan-Coombs explores the role of culture in wartime, both within and outside Ukraine. She speaks to poet and essayist Andriy Lyubka, who has shunned writing to focus on volunteering for the war effort, and Peter Doroshenko, director of The Ukrainian Museum in New York.
