Chapter 1

Australian army to allow recruits from foreign nations

Cover art for The Globalist

The Australian Defence Force has announced that it will soon accept recruits from foreign countries in a bid to address a shortfall in numbers. From July, New Zealanders who have lived in Australia for at least a year can apply to join. This will be extended in 2025 to foreign nationals from Canada, the US and UK, which make up the rest of the “Five Eyes” intelligence-sharing alliance.
