Description
Tucked away in Vienna’s 17th district is a workshop in which one-of-a-kind glass orbs are assembled. For three generations, these hand-painted Schneekugel have honoured Erwin Perzy’s original snowglobe in 1900: a miniature Mariazell Basilica encased in a flurry of semolina.
In this Christmas-themed collaboration, the snow mixture, which is now a closely guarded family secret, blankets monocle’s endearing mascot, Monochan. This snowglobe is a reminder that sometimes the simplest designs are the most enchanting.
