About the role
The Monocle Café is an intimate and bustling space located on Marylebone’s Chiltern Street. We have recently refurbished the café and are expanding our offering of delicious coffee and tasty treats, alongside a selection of our famed magazines and retail offerings, to include a chic bar space to host events, and intimate gatherings. It’s a welcoming venue, showcasing our passion for hospitality.
We’re looking for a bartender who is well versed in creating cocktails, is knowledgeable about wine and most importantly has an energy and disposition to match our ambition. You are someone who loves to host, who knows their craft and can bring our vision to life.
This is a full-time role working afternoons and evenings across a seven-day rota. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
-Hosting and ensuring an excellent guest experience
-Bar duties, including preparing, stocking, serving and making a range of drinks
-Ensuring that cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, as well as correct maintenance of café equipment
-Accurately processing customer orders and payments
-Supporting with planning and delivering café events
