Heim Café, Santos

This lively café is a neighbourhood staple that’s ideal for brunch or lunch in a cosy setting away from the tourist bubble. Take a seat at one of the tables spilling out onto the cobblestoned streets and catch the afternoon sunshine with a glass of regional wine or a rich espresso.

Underdogs Gallery, Braço de Prata

This independent gallery will show you a different side to Lisbon. Housed in a warehouse, the space was founded by the street-artist Vhils (the artistic alias of Alexandre Manuel Dias Farto). But Underdogs is more than just a place to find the best street art – you’ll also come across artist-in-residence programmes and performances, among other things – all of it showcasing urban artistic expression at its most impactful.
